Gomphrena plants need full sun to partial shade. They are not fussy about soil type and will even grow in very poor soils. They can glow in beds, borders, containers, pots, etc.
Even though they are very drought-tolerant plants, they do best with regular watering and fertilizer application. Do not use a high nitrogen fertilizer as this will just lead to excessive foliage.
Plant Gomphrena seeds either indoors, several weeks before the last frost is expected, or directly outdoors when the temperatures have warmed. If sowing Gomphrena seeds indoors, transplant the seedlings to the sunny garden spot when they are several inches tall.
Many gardeners recommend soaking Gomphrena seeds 24 - 48 hours before sowing as the water helps to prime the seed for germination. If growing Gomphrena from flower seeds specifically for cutting, space the plants closer together to force the growth of longer stems.

I ordered Red Fountain you sent Red Bamboo #381. The other order was Red Dragon, you sent Orange Bamboo #391. Toadstoolseeds.com sent them. I sent you an email about this earlier. Can you send the correct seeds?
I bought some red sunflower seeds from this website. I also bought seeds from the big box store. The seeds I bought from this website sprouted first and look very robust. I am ordering more. Look for the next review once they bloom!!!
The seeds arrived quickly but we did not receive part of our order. We are still waiting for the ones we received to grow so too early for full review.
