The scientific name for the Persimmon Tree means "fruit of the gods" in Greek. The 4" fruit can be eaten fresh, cooked, or dried. It is used in dessert dishes such as pies, cookies, cakes, puddings, salads, & curries. The Persimmon is a delicious sweet juicy fruit!

I do not have an indoor garden so I am waiting until spring to plant. I will try planting closer to Feb or March in small pods watering with spray bottle, and slowly introduce the plants to outdoor conditions.
