700 Mammoth Long Island Dill Seeds

Mammoth Long Island Dill Seeds originally named Long Island Dill this tall billowing relative of Queen Anne's Lace and Carrots is perfect for edible landscaping container gardens and pickles. All parts of the plant-leaves stem flowers and seeds can be used to impart dill flavor to dishes. Beyond its pungent flavor and culinary versatility, dill has a long history of medicinal use. Ancient Egyptians referred to dill as a soother; gladiators believed it imparted courage churchgoers felt the seeds imbued alertness and villagers considered dill a protective charm. Dill (and other members of the carrot family) are the sole food plants for the caterpillars of the beautiful Black Swallowtail butterfly.Β  Lacewings and Syrphid fly adults eat the pollen of dill and other carrot family plants, and their larvae prey on plant-sucking aphids. • 200 Bouquet Dill Seeds - Seed World

Shipped from El Monte, California, USA 200 Bouquet Dill Seeds

200 Bouquet Dill Seeds (Anethum Graveolens) Dill is generally considered an annual. Bouquet Dill is good for pickling. The plant is multi-branched and grows yellow flower clusters. Dill is aromatic, has a hint of caraway flavor, and is lovely in a cucumber salad. The feathery leaves are used to season meats, particularly fish. Dill leaves are used in pickling but are not as popular as their seed counterpart. Bouquet dill seeds are the main flavoring agent in pickling cucumbers. Dill is often brewed into a tea and is touted for being rich in antioxidants, vitamin C and A, and magnesium.Sowing and Growing:Sow dill seeds once the soil is able to be worked. Reseed every 2 weeks into midsummer for a continuous supply. Like many herbs, dill can withstand the heat. Germination takes 7 to 21 days and will continue to grow for 4 to 6 weeks. You can plant dill next to cabbage but keep well away from fennel. You won’t need to water dill too much unless it’s potted, then give it 6 to 8 hours of sun each day and water consistently. Harvesting:You can begin harvesting 60 days from the sowing date or as soon as the plant has produced several leaves. Depending on the end-use of this herb, keep some plants pruned to delay flowering and let others produce flowers.

Abundant, long-lasting white blooms on compact, branching plants Attracts pollinators and beneficial insects; suitable for cut arrangements Thrives in full sun (tolerates light afternoon shade in hot climates) Perennial in USDA Zones 5–9; often grown as an annual elsewhere Planting Instructions Best Time to Plant: Start indoors 5–8 weeks before last frost, or direct sow after danger of frost. Soil: Well-draining garden soil, moderately fertile; pH around 6.0–7.5. Light: Full sun; light shade is acceptable in hotter regions. Depth: Surface sowβ€”press seeds gently; do not bury (light aids germination). Germination: Typically 10–14 days at ~70Β°F (21Β°C); keep evenly moist, not waterlogged. Spacing & Size: Thin/transplant to 12–18 in (30–45 cm) apart; plants commonly reach 18–36 in (45–90 cm). First-year plants typically bloom mid-summer onward; established clumps often bloom earlier the following year. Can I grow Feverfew in containers? Yes. Sophora Japonica | Japanese Pagoda Tree Japanese pagoda (also known as Styphnolobium Japonicum) is a large deciduous tree native to China but cultivated in Japan for hundreds of years. It is an upright, broad-spreading tree that grows as wide as it does tall, forming a lacy canopy of dark green, pinnate leaves. Fluffy pyramidal panicles, or clusters, of creamy white-green, fragrant flowers appear in summer, followed by green "pea pods". Leaves turn yellow in fall but are not considered consistently ornamental. Its younger branches remain olive-green through winter, adding seasonal interest.Preferring full sun and well-drained soil, the Japanese pagoda also tolerates pollution, making its several cultivars a good choice for urban landscapes. Japanese pagoda tree makes a beautiful shade tree on large lawns or along city streets. In some areas this tree has become very invasive, casting seeds into the landscape. Consult with regional authorities to learn if this tree is prohibited for garden use, or at a minimum, to be kept away from native ecological areas. Flowering Tobacco Mix Seeds

FLOWERING TOBACCO MIX SEEDS This species is usually grown as an annual, but it also makes an excellent potted plant during the winter months. They are best off being direct sown after any danger of frost or sown in trofts outside and transplanted to the ground when about two inches tall. They can also be started indoors for an early start. This also helps prevent them from being carried away by the wind or water. Thin plants to about two feet apart, and cut off the flowering tops to increase leaf size. Shipped from Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA 5 Ashe's Magnolia (Magnolia Ashei) Seeds

Ashe's Magnolia (Magnolia Ashei) Seeds This has to be one of our most intriguing native Magnolias which grows in only 6 counties of the Florida panhandle. It reminds me of a small M. macrophylla. It has leaves up to 24" long, shaped somewhat like a violin with silvery undersides. But without a doubt, its most incredible asset is its 10" fragrant white flowers on plants as small as 1 foot. It will usually flower in 3 to 4 years from seed, so one can count on flowers on very small plants. I would consider it a large multi-trunked shrub to a small tree, where it can reach up to 12-15' in our lifetime, but a mature plant can mature at 30' high with an equal spread. It is considered the rarest of our native Magnolias. The fall color is yellow. Give it good drainage and uniform moisture for the best growth. Sun to part shade. Growing Bamboo from SeedsPlace the bamboo seeds in a strainer and rinse them with cool water to remove any dust or debris that may be clinging to the seeds.Pour the seeds into a bowl. Make a 10 percent salt solution and pour it over the seeds. Let the seeds soak in this solution for five minutes.Pour the seeds back into the strainer and rinse off the salt solution. Soak the seeds in clear water for 15 minutes, and drain them to dry.Make a half-and-half mixture of perlite and peat moss. Moisten the mixture until you can grab a handful and just barely squeeze out a drop. Place the soil mixture in a flat planter box with a lid. A plastic sweater box with holes poked in the bottom is the ideal size and shape for this project.Draw rows in the soil mix about 1 inch deep and plant a sprinkling of seeds along each row. Alternately, dig a round hole 2 inches across and 1 inch deep. Sprinkle about 10 seeds in the bottom of the hole. Cover the surface of the mix with these holes. Cover the seeds with a very fine soil mix. Place the lid on the box and move the box to a spot where it won't be disturbed.Remove the lid every three days to give the plants fresh air. Moisten the soil mix during this time if it has begun to dry out. Replace the lid after you have watered the mix. Remove the lid permanently after the seedlings reach the lid inside. The first seedlings will sprout after two to three weeks, and the seeds will continue to sprout until they have all emerged. Mix an all-purpose houseplant fertilizer according to the package directions. Pour the fertilizer into a clean spray bottle and mist the plants once they are four weeks old.Transplant the seedlings into individual pots after they have been growing for a month. Use the same soilless mix for growing the seedlings indoors.

    100 Hemlock Conium Maculatum Seeds

    1 review

Conium maculatum, commonly known as Hemlock, is one of the most infamous and historically significant plants in the botanical world. Sourced organically from NightShade Farm, these seeds offer a powerful addition to poison gardens, apothecary-themed displays, and educational plant collections. With finely divided fern-like leaves and umbrella-shaped white flower clusters, Hemlock presents a deceptively delicate appearance over its towering 5–8 foot frame. We offer Hemlock seeds strictly for ornamental, research, and educational purposes. When grown with respect and care, it becomes a striking biennial specimen that commands attention and illustrates the depth of plant lore across centuries.
