    50 Yellow Pink Petunia Seeds

Yellow Pink Petunia Seeds Flower Perennial Flowers Annual Petunias are so reliable and have such a wide variety of uses that it’s no wonder it’s one of the most popular garden flowers today. It’s simple to buy a couple of petunia seedlings to fill one planter, but for mass plantings and garden edging, growing petunias from seed is the way to go. You’ll save money because of the sheer number of plants you need, plus you’ll have a much wider range of flowers to choose from. Garden centers only carry a few varieties already sprouted and growing, but you can find petunia flower seeds for different-sized plants, in almost every color of the rainbow. Genus: Petunia Plant Type: Flower Light: Full Sun Bloom Start to End: Early Summer - Late Summer Habit: Compact Plant height: 8 in - 10 in Bloom Size: 3.5 in Growing Petunias From Seeds The most important point to remember when learning how to start petunias from seeds is that these are summer, heat-loving plants. It does them no good to plant them early in the garden, as they’ll just sit and sulk or rot. In order to get these seedlings to planting size at the right time, you need to start them indoors at least 10 weeks before planting time. In the north, this is around the first week of March and will be even earlier in more southern states. Although petunias are tough and resilient in the garden, they can be very delicate in the first weeks of life. Start out with a dedicated seed-starting soil mix and new or sterilized planting trays. Of course, you can also start them in eggshells for easier transplanting later. Sprinkle the tiny seeds on top of the mix and gently moisten them with a spray bottle. Cover the tray with plastic wrap to retain moisture and place it in a bright place out of direct sunlight that averages around 75 F. (24 C.). Remove the plastic wrap once the seeds sprout and place the trays under lights in a cooler spot, around 65 F. (18 C.) during the day. Keep the lights about 6 inches (15 cm.) above the tops of the plants. Use water-soluble fertilizer once every two weeks, and water the plants when the soil dries out. Transplant the seedlings into individual pots once they develop two or three true leaves. Lift out individual plants with a wooden stick or butter knife, and transplant them into potting soil. Keep the soil moist but well-drained, and return them to under the lights until it’s time to plant them outside. Additional Tips for Growing Petunias from Seed When starting petunia seed plants, remember that the seeds are very tiny. It’s easy to over-plant the trays, ending up with dozens of seedlings you don’t need. Sprinkle them gently on top of the soil, using only a small pinch of seeds. Petunia seed propagation only happens when they get the right amount of light. Don’t bother to buy special plant-growing light. Regular fluorescent lights work just as well. Place the plants on a shelf and hang the light directly above them. Move the lights upward as the plants grow, always keeping the lights 6 inches above the leaves.

  • 25 Rare Dark Blue Kalanchoe Seeds - Seed World

25 Rare Dark Blue Kalanchoe Seeds

Rare Dark Blue Kalanchoe Seeds Succulent Flower Kalanchoe plants are thick-leaved succulents that are often seen in florist shops or garden centers. Most end up as potted plants but areas that can mimic their native land of Madagascar can grow them outdoors. The clusters of tiny flowers produce a large bloom held aloft on stems above the majority of the foliage. If you wish for a second bloom, it is incumbent to know how to take care of a kalanchoe. These plants need short winter light periods to form new buds. Learn how to grow kalanchoe and the perennial can reward you with several seasons of bright colorful flowers. Care InstructionsGrowing plants from seed are not as hard as you might think You should only plant a seed as deep in the soil as the seed is wide. When seeds are planted too deeply the tiny plants emerge and begin to grow but do not reach the surface before they run out of stored food. SOIL: A good potting mix, amended with Β½ its volume of granite, perlite or pumice for drainage, makes a good mix for growing cacti from seed. To pasteurize soil, put it in a shallow heatproof pan, place it in the oven at 300 degrees F for 30 minutesPLANTING: Be sure that all containers to be used are clean. Water the soil thoroughly and let it drain completely before planting. Spread the seed evenly over the top of the soil. Cover the seed lightly with the mix or very fine sand. When planted, cover the container with any transparent lid. This will retain moisture and allow light to reach the seedlings.GERMINATION: Cactus seeds need both light and warmth to germinate. A sunny window is a good location, but be careful the light is not too strong and therefore too hot. The moisture retained by the cover should be sufficient to germinate the seed. Most cactus seeds germinate within 3 weeks, but some take longer. Once the spines are showing, raise the cover for ventilation during the day. Do not allow the soil to dry out. Do not swamp them in puddled water but do not let them dry out completely.

30 Organic Bleeding Heart Flower Seeds

Organic Bleeding Heart Flower Seed Flower Perennial Flowers Bloom: Summer-Fall Plant Height 10"-12" Light: Part Shade Attracts Butterfly's Long Bloomer Growing Bleeding Hearts from SeedBleeding heart plants can be propagated from seed and these are some tips to help your seeds have the best possible chance to turn into beautiful flowers.β€’ Moisten a mixture of half coarse sand and half milled peat in a small (46") pot with water.β€’ You will only need to sow 3-4 seeds in each pot, poking a one-half-inch deep hole for each of the seeds. Place only one seed in a hole, then cover with loose peat that has been slightly moistened. Press the peat to make it slightly firm.β€’ Grab some plastic wrap from the kitchen and completely wrap however many posts you have made, then place them all in the freezer for about six weeks.β€’ Once you remove the pots from your freezer, I would recommend that you place them on a propagation mat at about 60-65 degrees close to a window that allows a lot of sunshine in.β€’ When the soil feels just barely moist at the very top, you can water the plant. Don't ever let it dry completely out, but don't keep it soggy (seeds can mildew if they get soggy).β€’ Once more, be patient, as it could take from two to six months for your bleeding heart plant to sprout. Once you do see some growth, thin out the weakest ones and leave only one plant in each pot.β€’ Don't move the plants outside until after the last frost.β€’ Once your plants have some mature leaves, they are ready to be transplanted into larger pots filled with potting soil, and grown in light shade for their first year.β€’ Continue to water whenever the soil feels barely moist at the top, then transplant them into a larger container, or a shady garden bed in early autumn (too much heat or sunshine will cause your flowers to be short-lived (ephemeral), and although they don't die, they do become dormant, but the roots are still fine. You should be able to count on having some gorgeous bleeding hearts if you follow all of these suggestions, and I wish you the best of luck with these gorgeous, shade-loving plants. 25 Double Dark Purple Clematis Seeds

Double Purple Clematis Seeds Flowers Climbing Perennial Flower Botanical Name: Clematis tangutica Height: 6.5 - 8 feet Spacing: 24 - 36 inches Spread: 24 - 36 inches Light Requirements: Full Sun, Partial Shade Foliage Type: Opposite, pinnate, leaflets ovate slightly pubescent beneath. Bloom Time: Early summer to fall Soil Requirements: Well drained, and should be mulched. Growth Rate: Medium Pruning: Small-flowered clematis does not need to be pruned regularly. Only when they grow too large for their space should they be cut back. Though their growth habit makes them difficult to prune, It can be done in late winter or early spring. All shoots can be cut back to the previous year's wood, Winter Care: Mulch to protect roots. Combine 3 parts seed compost with 1 part sharp sand to create a rich, well-draining starting mixture for the Clematis seeds. Moisten the mixture before filling the rooting pots. Fill several 4-inch pots with the mixture, leaving 1/2 inch of space at the top of each pot.Sow one Clematis seed per square inch of surface area in each pot. Gently press the seed into the surface of the soil. Spread a 1/4-inch-thick layer of the compost and sand mixture on top of the seeds. Firm the soil.Set the pots in a cold greenhouse or in the light shade outdoors where they are exposed to cold temperatures and bright, indirect light. Keep them outdoors over the winter. Moisten the soil in each pot using a plant mister whenever it feels dry at a depth of 1/2 inch.Move the pots into the partial sun when temperatures reach 60 degrees F in spring. Watch for germination starting two weeks after moving them.Scoop out and transplant the clematis seedlings when they reach 2 inches in height. Transplant them into individual 4-inch pots filled with 3 parts sterile potting soil and 1 part sharp sand. Take care not to break the long taproot during transplanting.Keep the Clematis seedlings in their individual pots until they reach 6 inches in height. Place the pots near bright but diffuse light. Keep the soil slightly moist but not soggy as they grow. Plant the Clematis vines outdoors the following spring once soil temperatures reach 68 degrees F.Place the potted Clematis seeds in the refrigerator for three weeks to cold stratify if outdoor air temperatures stay above 50 degrees F during the winter. For proper care of clematis, clematis vines prefer sunny locations (at least six hours of sun needed for blooming) but the soil should be kept cool. An easy way to accomplish this is by planting some type of ground cover or shallow-rooted perennial plants around the clematis. A 2-inch layer of mulch can also be incorporated to keep the roots cool and moist.Your seedling will take at least a year to offer its first bloom and another three years to become a mature plant. I usually wait until it blooms before planting it out in the garden. A greenhouse helps. QUANTITY: 25 Double Dark Purple Clematis Seeds

Shipped from Miami, FL, USA 30 Lithops Optica Rubra Rare Seeds

Lithops Optica RUBRA rare mesembs Exotic Succulent Living Stones CactusΒ Seeds Lithops is a genus of succulent plants native to southern Africa. "Lithos" means "stone" and "-ops" means "face" in Ancient Greek; therefore "Lithops" means "stone-like". This is a very good description of these plants, which avoid being eaten by blending in with surrounding rocks. They are often known as pebble plants or living stones. The formation of the name from the greek "-ops" means that even a single plant is called a Lithops. Individual Lithops plants consist of one or more pairs of bulbous, almost fused leaves opposite to each other and hardly any stem. The slit between the leaves contains the meristem and produces flowers and new leaves. The leaves of Lithops are mostly buried below the surface of the soil, with a partially or completely translucent top surface or window allowing light to enter the interior of the leaves for photosynthesis. Lithops are obligate outcrosses and require pollination from a separate plant. Like most resembles, Lithops fruit is a dry capsule that opens when it becomes wet; some seeds may be ejected by falling raindrops, and the capsule re-closes when it dries out. Capsules may also sometimes detach and be distributed intact or may disintegrate after several years. The most startling adaptation of Lithops is the coloring of the leaves. The leaves are not green as in almost all higher plants, but various shades of cream, grey, and brown, patterned with darker windowed areas, dots, and red lines. The markings on the top surface disguise the plant in its surroundings.

Rare Lithops Gracilidelineata - Living Stones Exotic Ice Plant Lithops gracilidelineata is easily recognizable for the clear pastel body and knobbed top with fine brown lines. The network of thin brown lines, which is the prominent feature of the top surface shows is quite uniform in the way it anatomizes and also in its coloration. Its face is very clear in color and has one of the most opaque windows to be found in the genus. Habit: It rarely forms more than a single head or, if branched, forms only a few bodies in a clump. It is variable, but conforms to the typical Lithops morphology: two thick, fleshy windowed leaves separated by a crack from which a yellow flower appears. The windowed part allows light into the inner portion of the leaf where the process of photosynthesis is carried out. Old leaves persist for one year usually, often for two years. Bodies (paired leaves): Top-shaped, truncate in profile, more or less convex, 30-50 mm 1ong, 20-38 mm broad; fissure shallow, faces flush, round to mostly elliptic, window opaque; top knobby, various shades of creamy-white or greyish-white. Windows are very opaque a not evident, Rubrications are usually a network of brown lines, mostly set in a fairly regular network of shallow valleys, margins not clearly distinguishable Flowers are yellow 20-45 mm in diameter. Sepals 8 mm long, 2-3 mm broad. Fruits: 6(-7)-chambered, profile rotund to boat-shaped, top convex to peaked, faces broadly elliptic.

Winter Care: None special. Foliage Type: Mid-green, heart-shaped leaves 4" - 5". Pruning: To shape as needed, after flowering. Push each seed 2 inches deep in the soil, and space them 2 to 3 inches apart.Water the soil deeply with the watering can, until drained water runs out from the drainage holes in the pots. Water the soil frequently.Place a flat container under each pot or tray to collect the drained water.Cover the seed starter tray with an inverted seed tray, lid, or clear plastic sheet. If using a pot, cover it with a clear plastic sheetas well to mimic a greenhouse effect, creating humidity and retaining moisture at all times. Place the seed starter tray in an area with a temperature around 41 degrees Fahrenheit for two to three months, or until the seeds sprout.Transplant seedlings to their permanent location outside when they develop a set of two leaves. • 4 Purple Black Desert Rose Seeds - Seed World 4 Purple Black Desert Rose Seeds - Seed World

4 Purple Black Desert Rose Seeds

Β Purple Black Desert Rose Seeds - Adenium FlowersΒ  Desert Rose is a natural bonsai plant. It has fleshy leaves and beautiful 2-inch pink or white open-trumpet-shaped flowers. It is a succulent, and forms more of a bush than a tree. Adenium Desert Rose Growing Tips First, remember that Adenium plants are native to regions with poor, gritty soil and hot, sunny climates. You can’t expect the plant to thrive in overly moist soil, in a site with limited light. They are also not frosted tolerant and will succumb to a freeze if exposed. The plant will not survive long if exposed to temperatures below 40 degrees F. (4 C.) but will thrive in temperatures reaching up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 C.). Desert rose succulents like bright light, so a southern window exposure provides enough sun for the plants to flourish and bloom. In the garden, choose a sunny location that has some protection from the noonday sun, as this can scorch the foliage. Soil is very important and should have a mixture of cactus soil with gritty sand or lava rocks for good drainage. Β Desert Rose Plant Care The one thing that will kill these plants quickly is improper watering. They are succulents but are used to rainy periods during which they grow, followed by a dormant, dry period. Match your watering practices to these needs for the best success. Keep soil moderately moist in spring and summer, but reduce watering in fall and especially winter when the plant is dormant. Fertilize with dilution by half of a 20-20-20 liquid plant food once per month when the plant is actively growing. Do not feed the desert rose during winter. The most common pests are scale, mealybugs, and spider mites. Use cotton balls soaked in alcohol to wipe away these insect rogues.
