White spruce is widely planted in the U.S. where it is used for hedges, windbreaks, and specimen trees like full sun. It is much grown in the Midwest because of its tolerance and adaptability.

Growing Instructions:
1. Scarification: Soak in water for 24 hours 2. stratification: 30 days cold moist stratification. Check every two weeks to make sure seeds are moist and that seeds are not molding. if there is sign of mold, seeds should be soaked in 3:2 parts of water: bleach then rinsed with clean water and put back into cold stratification. 3. germination: sow seed 1/4" deep, tamp the soil
I do not have an indoor garden so I am waiting until spring to plant. I will try planting closer to Feb or March in small pods watering with spray bottle, and slowly introduce the plants to outdoor conditions.
