Queen of the Prairie Seeds - Filipendula Rubra
The stunning pink plumes of Queen of the Prairie are a highlight of midsummer. Best grown in full sun the plants are up to 5 feet tall with large, deeply lobed leaves.
This easy-to-grow plant spreads by rhizomes, making it an excellent choice for naturalizing in moist meadows.
Filipendula Rubra strongly prefers moist settings, and does very well in rich garden soil, though its semi-aggressive nature does require some caution.
