Pink Sunday Annual Clary Sage | Salvia Viridis Herb Flower Seeds

This plant produces long-lasting pink flower spikes from Summer - Frost! A lovely 2' plant that is perfect for cottage gardens, and beautiful in any setting. Annual Clary is gorgeous and inter-planted with practically anything.

I use it as a "living mulch" around Cosmos and Zinnias, with Alyssum in front. ("Living mulch" covers & shades the bare spots in the garden - helping retain moisture and suppress weeds.)

"Come and cut again" to prolong flowering and encourage new flower buds. You'll never run out of cuttings, as the vigorous plant keeps growing and every stem produces colorful tips. (In moderation with multiple plants.) Excellent as a cut flower with a long vase life.

It retains its color in dried arrangements as well. The stems provide some height and add the perfect touch to a garden bouquet. Stunning as both a bouquet filler and a stand-alone bunch. As an organic home garden florist, I use it religiously.

As a hardy annual, in cold climates, it acts like a perennial by re-seeding itself. In my Zone 5 garden, it comes back on its own every spring. In my experience, it is a completely effortless low maintenance wildflower to grow, drought-tolerant, and relatively pest and disease-free.

(Only water in an extended drought and do not apply large doses of fertilizer as flowering will be suppressed.)

Just scatter the seeds on bare soil, in the garden, in late Fall or Spring when soil is (days are) still <70°; and keep them moist until they germinate. You may also sow seeds indoors 10 to 12 weeks or 3 to 4 weeks before the last spring frost.
