Watch as your money plant flourishes and brings a sense of well-being into your surroundings..
Money Plant seeds are commonly grown for their autumnal display of papery, coin-shaped seed cases; however, the plant can also be valued solely for its beautiful springtime violet flowers. The plant is also known by the common names Money Plant, Honesty, and Silver Dollar.
Its coin-shaped seed casings and lunar moons make it easy to understand why it goes by so many names. The seed casings can be left on the plant for fall and winter interest, or they can be chopped and stored for use in dry arrangements. They will reseed if they are left on.
In official terms, the Lunaria Silver Dollar is a biannual. Accordingly, following the planting of the flower seed, the first year will yield foliage and the second year, a floral display. The violet Honesty plant usually dies after flowering. It does, however, readily reseed itself, and once established, it will keep putting on a show every year.
