Jewelweed - Impatiens Capensis Seeds

Seeds Impatiens capensis Jewelweed rare wildflower Impatiens capensis or Orange Jewelweed touch-me-not.

This relative of the common impatiens also forms small seed pods that burst and send seeds quite a distance.

Growing 2-5 feet tall and liking moist soil, this plant will produce these orange blossoms from May to October.

Jewelweed is a natural remedy for skin rashes, especially poison ivy; helps to heal insect bites fast. I heal my tick bites with Jewelweed.  

Hummingbirds are the main pollinators, but other insects like bees and bumblebees can pollinate as well.

These seeds improve germination with stratification.
