Also known as the Pequin Firecracker. Firecracker peppers delight the palate as well as the eye. It is a reasonably hot pepper, with a Scoville rating of 30,000 to 40,000. Unashamedly bright and vibrant, the Firecracker Chili pepper is an ornamental little pepper that secretly packs a punch that you will not see coming.
This is one of our favorite peppers to be grown in containers. The fun, bushy ornamental Firecracker Chili plant grows to 2 feet tall that produces 1-inch pods. The Firecracker Chili peppers grow upright from creamy white to green, to yellow, to orange, then a stunning deep red when mature.
