I ordered 4, 1/8 lbs of emerald zoysia grass seed. Only after delivery did I find that Emerald Zoysia is a hybrid grass that does NOT produce a viable seed. I have no idea what seeds I received, but they were NOT emerald zoysia as advertised. They came in a strange envelope with a cartoon character seal. I should have done more research. I planted the seeds under about 1/4" of quality topsoil and kept watered for 3-4 weeks. None of the seeds germinated and sprouted.

I don't know whether this was a scram or was I just mislead. Anyway, I would stay away from "Seed World"!

I have the seed. Now to plant and see what happens.

Grass is growing

Pulled some weeds from my lawn and left a significant bare patch. Decided to try some Zoysia seed to see if it works. Planted it as recommended and it is growing nicely. Can’t wait to see the end result. Happy customer.

Zoysia grass seeds

This is my second purchase of Zoysia Grass seeds.
I mixed the first batch with Miracle Grow seedling starter potting soil and hand spread the mixture. I watered twice a day to keep the ground wet and the seeds germinated in 7 days. I kept the twice a day watering going for another 7 days and the lawn area filled in. The seeds did as I expected.

Still in the package. Haven’t planted them yet.
