This is the only pepper grown here, eliminating the potential for cross-pollination. These are the peppers you want for heat. I personally dry mine and infuse them in olive oil.
The Carolina Reaper was officially declared the World's Hottest Pepper on November 14th, 2013. The Carolina Reaper tested at an AVERAGE Scoville Heat Units of 1,569,000 and had a high Testing of 2.2 Million SHU.
