Black Knight Delphinium | Pacific Giant Delphinium | Larkspur Seeds
Delphinium flowers attract bees, butterflies, and birds including HUMMINGBIRDS!. The tall, stunning flower spikes of Black Knight are real show-stoppers and are sure to please! They are also deer resistant.
Sow Delphinium seeds to produce this gorgeous addition to the perennial flower garden. Hummingbirds and bees will visit often!
Grow the plants in full sun and in compost-rich well drained soil. Delphinium care includes applying a balanced liquid fertilizer every month as the plants are heavy feeders. Plants should be replaced every 3 to 4 years as they will become woody and begin to decline with age.
Cut plants back after initial flowering for a possible second showing in fall. The flowers are excellent for cutting. This flower seed produces Delphiniums that will grow at elevations up to 10,000 feet which is very rare.
To get a jump start on the growing season, sow Pacific Giants Delphinium seeds indoors 4 - 6 weeks before the last frost. Use sterile starter mix in trays and cover flower seeds 1/8 - 1/4 inches.
yes id did buy and receive bamboo seeds from you. i planted same and now cautiously await some indication the sprouting will begin. we are in northern nj where it is quite cold so i am keeping the plantings in a planter system we use for seedlings. only time luck and patience will tell the ultimate story. if the seeds come to be small plants we will replant into pots until spring and after that we are guardedly optimistic. thanks for the request and service. stewart a farber
I do not have an indoor garden so I am waiting until spring to plant. I will try planting closer to Feb or March in small pods watering with spray bottle, and slowly introduce the plants to outdoor conditions.
