Papaya trees are stunning tropical plants that can reach up to 10 feet tall, producing an abundance of delicious fruits. Ideal for gardens or containers, they are easy to grow and maintain.
Planting Instructions:
Use loamy sand mixed with a little peat moss for optimal growth.
Ensure the planting mix is free of fungi or germs to support seed germination.
Plant 2 seeds per hole with 2-inch spacing between plants.
Keep seedlings moist and monitor for sprouts, which may take 15 days to 6 weeks.
Growth Tips:
Papayas can be planted year-round, with late summer being ideal.
Space plants 1.5 meters apart and rows 3–4 meters apart.
Female trees are identified after flowering; planting multiple seeds ensures proper selection.
These rare dwarf red papayas are perfect for adding tropical charm to your garden while enjoying homegrown fruits!
yes id did buy and receive bamboo seeds from you. i planted same and now cautiously await some indication the sprouting will begin. we are in northern nj where it is quite cold so i am keeping the plantings in a planter system we use for seedlings. only time luck and patience will tell the ultimate story. if the seeds come to be small plants we will replant into pots until spring and after that we are guardedly optimistic. thanks for the request and service. stewart a farber
I do not have an indoor garden so I am waiting until spring to plant. I will try planting closer to Feb or March in small pods watering with spray bottle, and slowly introduce the plants to outdoor conditions.
