Erigeron Azure Fairy Speciosus is a herbaceous perennial flowering plant that is native to North America. Seeds can be started indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost.
Erigeron Speciosus features light-green foliage with lance-shaped, basal, and stem leaves. blooms all summer long with clumps of large, 1-1/2 inch in diameter, daisy-like, semi-double, lavender flowers with a yellow center and many tiny petals attracting butterflies along with other pollinators.
Erigeron Azure Fairy can be grown as a ground cover, meadow, or border plant, and its highly attractive clumps of daisy-like blooms look fabulous in rock gardens, baskets, window boxes, and containers. Erigeron Speciosus seeds must be just slightly pressed into the soil and not covered, because the light is needed for germination.
Once established Aspen Fleabane prefers to grow in full sun tolerating partial shade, and the best soil is fertile, moist, and well-drained; however, Erigeron tolerates most soils perfectly, and the plant is drought resistant. Erigeron Azure Fairy makes a wonderful, long-lasting cut flower.
