MIDNIGHT SUPREME ROSE SEEDS - RARE PERENNIAL - NON-GMO

What is a garden without roses? Their lovely very fragrant double blooms will delight you all season long! Roses make an excellent cut flower and these large blooms will last for up to 2 weeks once cut.

In nature, there is no such thing as a blue rose which has defined much of the Rose seeds need cold temperatures to initiate the germination process, so place the seeds in a plastic bag in the veggie crisper drawer of your fridge for about 60 days.

Mark your calendar so you know when it’s time to take them out.

Before planting, the seeds need to be germinated first.

Here's a tip on how to do this:

Rose seeds need a period of cold storage to sprout. Place in a seed tray, with saturated but not soaking wet soil, cover with plastic wrap, and place in the fridge for 10-12 weeks.

This cold period puts the seed in a state of hibernation, thus causing it to activate when warmed back up.

Then remove and place in an area where the temp is around 70-75 degrees. Only about 40-50% of seeds will sprout.

Never touch the seedling with your hands, use a spoon to transplant it to bigger pots when needed. Fertilize, and when the plant is around a foot tall, plant outside, fertilizing again.

Size: 3-4 Feet Tall, 3 Feet Wide
Hardiness Zones: 3-11

How to Grow Roses From Seeds:

1. Fill the planting tray with high-quality commercial potting soil. A mix created especially for seedlings is preferable.

2. Place the rose seeds in the tray and cover them with about 1/2 inch of potting soil. Rose seeds should be planted in late winter, about six weeks before the last frost of the season.

3. Spray the soil lightly with a mister. Slide the planting tray into a large, clear plastic bag and seal the opening with a twist tie.

4. Put the tray in a warm place that gets indirect light. Although you may not have to water the tray while it's in the greenhouse atmosphere of the plastic bag, it should be checked periodically.

If the soil appears dry, remove the tray and spray the soil lightly, then return the tray to the bag.

5. Watch for seedlings to emerge and roots to develop. When they do, take the tray out of the plastic bag. This will take approximately 15 to 20 days. Move the tray to a sunny window and keep the seedlings moist.

6. Transplant the seedlings to small pots when it appears that they are beginning to outgrow the planting tray. After the danger of frost has passed, plant the seedlings outside in a location that gets full sun for most of the day
