They cannot withstand a frost however will grow in low-nutrient soil.

There are many varieties of the yard long bean. This variety is a favorite among expert vegetable producers because of it's ability to contend with common pests and diseases and it's superior nitrogen-fixing output in soils. The beans are a delicious nutty flavor as well. Each pod produces about 18 delicious nutty-flavored beans!

To germinate, sow the seeds 1/2 an inch deep into the soil. Keep the seeds and the soil moist and the beans will germinate quickly (usually within 10 days).
