Knautia has bushy clumps of grey-green foliage at the base that sends up long branching stems that put on a show with loads of crimson-red, pink and lavender flowers with white stamens that give the flowers a gorgeous pincushion-like appearance.
They are fantastically long bloomers, they bloom from may, abundantly re-blooming continuously all season and into fall till the first hard frost. they will bloom in their first year and every year after.

I do not have an indoor garden so I am waiting until spring to plant. I will try planting closer to Feb or March in small pods watering with spray bottle, and slowly introduce the plants to outdoor conditions.
