The Jerusalem Cherry is a member of the nightshade family. It is a small shrub with glossy evergreen leaves. They are a tender perennial.
In cooler climates, they can be grown as an annual, overwintered indoors, or grown entirely as a house plant.
Despite the fact that the berries are poisonous, the Jerusalem Cherry is a popular house plant because of its ornamental value.
There is an easy fix for this ‘poisonous’ business through - Simply remove the spent flowers, & no berries will form.

The seeds were a Christmas gift for my Farmer / Gardener son. I gave him the seeds today and his face lit up. We both can't wait to see how they grow!
Haven't received as of yet.
how long does it take to grow
I do not have an indoor garden so I am waiting until spring to plant. I will try planting closer to Feb or March in small pods watering with spray bottle, and slowly introduce the plants to outdoor conditions.
