San Diego Red Live Bougainvillea Starter/Plug Plant with Good Roots
In milder climes, bougainvillea can be grown indoors or in a hanging basket. It grows well in hot climes year-round and is a great hot season plant for the landscape due to its drought tolerance. It is a natural choice for color in coastal areas due to its great salt resistance.
Although it can be trained into a conventional shape, it is also cultivated as a hedge or accent plant along fences, on walls, in pots, and in hanging baskets. It has masses of papery flower bracts and heart-shaped leaves on its long, arched, thorny branches.
The pots for these 5-6"+ plants are 2.5" x 2.5" x 3.5".
Cultivation
When established, bougainvilleas take minimal water and, in fact, won't thrive if overwatered. They grow best in dry soil, full light, and periodic fertilizing. Zones 9b to 11 of hardiness.

yes id did buy and receive bamboo seeds from you. i planted same and now cautiously await some indication the sprouting will begin. we are in northern nj where it is quite cold so i am keeping the plantings in a planter system we use for seedlings. only time luck and patience will tell the ultimate story. if the seeds come to be small plants we will replant into pots until spring and after that we are guardedly optimistic. thanks for the request and service. stewart a farber
I do not have an indoor garden so I am waiting until spring to plant. I will try planting closer to Feb or March in small pods watering with spray bottle, and slowly introduce the plants to outdoor conditions.
