Licorice Mint is native to eastern Asia, & is one of the 50 fundamental herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine. As the name suggests, they have a licorice or anise fragrance. The sweet leaves can be used as greens in salads, to make a delicious tea, or as a seasoning in anything you want to be yummy.
These wonderful ‘cut & come again’ plants will provide you with a continuous supply of leaves all season long, or they can be harvested in bunches.
The plants are also very ornamental with a nice clumping habit. It does not reseed like some mints or form rhizomes. The heart shaped leaves take on a purple tint that coordinates well with its beautiful purple flower spikes that honey bees visit for nectar.

yes id did buy and receive bamboo seeds from you. i planted same and now cautiously await some indication the sprouting will begin. we are in northern nj where it is quite cold so i am keeping the plantings in a planter system we use for seedlings. only time luck and patience will tell the ultimate story. if the seeds come to be small plants we will replant into pots until spring and after that we are guardedly optimistic. thanks for the request and service. stewart a farber
I do not have an indoor garden so I am waiting until spring to plant. I will try planting closer to Feb or March in small pods watering with spray bottle, and slowly introduce the plants to outdoor conditions.
