Yucca Rigida, or Blue Yucca, is an elegant, architectural desert plant prized for its dramatic, trunk-forming structure and striking powder-blue, sword-like leaves. This hardy species starts as a low rosette, eventually developing a tall trunk over time. In natural settings, it can reach up to 15 feet, with clusters of white flowers blooming 2-3 feet above the foliage.
A rarer counterpart to Yucca rostrata, Yucca rigida features stiffer leaves and thrives in hot, sunny locations with excellent drainage. Perfect for adding a bold, sculptural element to xeriscapes or desert gardens.

A truly divine plant, midsized and similar to Y. rostrata but with wider, bright blue-gray, rigid leaves. It is native to northeastern Mexico and will withstand moderate to quite severe freezes.
I do not have an indoor garden so I am waiting until spring to plant. I will try planting closer to Feb or March in small pods watering with spray bottle, and slowly introduce the plants to outdoor conditions.
