Purple Limonium flowers prefer to be grown in full sun locations and in well-drained soils. These plants do not tolerate soggy conditions, and they do not like to be disturbed once they are established. Statice plants are fairly drought tolerant.
How To Grow Statice From Seed:
Sow Statice seeds indoors 6 - 8 weeks before frost season ends. Press the Statice flower seeds into the soil and lightly sprinkle with peat moss. The seeds must be kept moist but not wet until germination occurs.
You can directly sow purple Statice seeds into prepared seed beds after all danger of frost has passed. Sow the flower seeds in groups of 3 - 4 spaced 16 - 20 inches apart. Thin to the strongest Statice seedling.
